Mahira Khan is the first Pakistani to attend the Cannes Film Festival. She was invited to attend the prestigious festival by L’Oreal as she is their Hair and Care brand ambassador. While numerous Bollywood actresses such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor have attended the festival as L’Oreal ambassadors, Mahira is the first Pakistani artist to be invited to do so.

Ambassador for UN Human Commission for Refugees

Mahira has been vocal about her stance on different humanitarian issues concerning the world right now. She was taken on as the United Nations Ambassador for Refugees earlier in 2018.  She has already made her way around various Pakistani cities to meet up with refugees. She met with various refugee children and works to improve their lives in any possible way.

In the world of social media connections, this surely is a huge achievement. Mahira Khan became the first Pakistani actor to reach over 5 million followers on Instagram.
