ANIQA HUSSAIN; RE-INVENTING THE ART OF SFX IN PAKISTAN

The Instagram is overflowed with amazing visual artists from all over the world. The trend of SFX art is a little nascent in Pakistan. But over the past few years, just like any other off shoot of art, the skill of 3D makeup has been adopted by many talented Pakistanis. One of these unique artists is Aniqa Hussain. She has set up a new precedent in this field. She has mastered this art as her Instagram page is witness to a wide range of her subtle dreamy looks to terrifyingly ghoul faces. To know more about her passion and future adventures, we hooked up with Aniqa for an interview.
Hi Aniqa! Tell us a little about yourself and your dream.
I am just like other girls but with few unique dreams. I just love to dream and enjoy making my dreams reality. I was grown up with lots and lots of pampered love since I am the youngest in my family. Since childhood I wanted to do something unique and challenging, anything which challenges me and make me happy.
How did you know that SFX is the way to go for you?
I have doing this for about 8, 9 months. It all started all of a sudden. Before doing it for the first time I did not even know that I would be doing it, but I knew that I would be doing something of this sort since I was a child. As I began doing it, I explored much and now here I am.
What keeps you going?
Motivation is something which comes from within yourself. So, my positive energy towards my passion to do something different kept me motivated.
How are you hoping to further explore this art in future?
In future Insha’Allah I want to be the top one in Pakistan and also get my work commended abroad. Also, I want to open my own institute to promote my art so that people could learn this here in Pakistan as it is not very known and also considered stigma in the society, I want to eradicate this thought.
It’s amazing to see such talented people making name in these diverse fields of art and making Pakistan proud. The only thing left for us to do, is to celebrate these artists and enable them to become the best source of inspiration for all of us.
