CPEC: OPENING THE GATEWAY TO FRIENDSHIP, PROSPERITY, AND…..FRAUD?

Pakistan and China have a close, strong, impenetrable bond. We share geography, we share neighbors, and we share enemies… I mean economies, and now by the look of it, we share human resource as well. The news all over online and print media has it that some Chinese men are illicitly marrying Pakistani women and taking them to China to make these women work there. Now, some would call it trafficking, fraudulent and illegal. But let’s not jump the gun. Look at it this way; you see we want our relations to strengthen with China. We need them to have faith in us while we abandon and loathe all our other neighbors. So, we need to see this as a progress. We are breaking ground.  We’re making them come here and share their problems with us. Well, yes, they took the sharing bit a lit too literally; rather they went a little over board with it, you could say. I mean you can take out people from china but you can’t take out china out of them. But look at the bright side. There is one amazing more outcome out of all this for us. What happens is that the girls these men usually marry are poor and mostly Christian. This is like hitting two birds with one stone. You get the Chinese in and the minorities out. There you go, so many problems solved right there.  Plus, it’s good for the economy. They contribute a lot to protect these women from poverty-stricken hellholes and help reduce Pakistan’s poverty rate as well. Then they take these women back to China and keep them poor and subjugated there. So, this way, they are also sharing our problems. People It’s a give and take relation. Isn’t that how it works in here? You give a little and take a little; they just tweaked it a little bit. In China they just take a lot and sometimes when in generous mood, they give a little in return. Also, The Chinese embassy doesn’t really mind what’s been going on. They don’t even see it as a problem because the media there has denied any news of such sorts. And we all know that Chinese media is free, independent, and they refuse to bow down to the socialist powers. They totally show you the reality, like a mirror. But all of this is being jeopardized by some here and there crackdowns by the FIA. They are just not cooperating enough. They don’t realize what’s at stake. It is and will always be about one thing and one thing only, CPEC.
