Dalda steps in to stop body shaming through #MeriAwaz

Dalda lived up to its slogan ‘Jahan Maamta Wahan Dalda’ and raised the issue to protect every girl that is subjected to body shaming.
From the moment children are born, society sets the rules for them on how to live. While this issue may affect very fewer boys, it completely engulfs girls in its flames. Girls are always told by society how to eat, what to eat, how to behave, how to dress, what to do and what not to do. But among all of this, girls lose their true selves and all the things they are capable of. They are often told not to eat much as they will get fat, or not to take part in sports as it will destroy their skin.
So Dalda decided to stand on the side of these girls and empowers the mothers to protect their children and to help them fight these practices of body shaming, through their campaign #MeriAwaz.
In the hotel Movenpick, Dalda hosted an exclusive discussion about this issue and united some very influential women of our country to stand for this cause. Among these were Ayesha Toor, Aamina Sheikh, Samina Peerzada, Sarwat Gillani, and Nadia Hussain.
Coming together to combat and uproot #bodyshaming from the fabric of our society, to sheild the next Gen from it and equip them to handle it if it comes in the way of realising their potential. #MeriAwaz #Dalda #educate #influence #elevate #impact pic.twitter.com/bImShWTaM9

The panel put forward several of the societal stereotypes that make a girl believe that she cannot do anything on her own. The discussion further moved on to some of the suggestions to get rid of these stereotypes and to make sure that the future generation receives a better future.
