Coca Cola has joined hands with Pakistan’s most charitable organization to assist them in collecting donations with the help of their campaign, ‘Eidi for Edhi’. Coke is currently one of the top three most valuable brands in the world. It has been marketing itself as a brand that knows its audience, its environment and above of all the culture of the place it connects too. Celebrating the spirit of Ramadan, Coke schemed a perfect campaign to prove itself to be a socially responsible brand. Just like last year, the soft drink brand has devised two charity drives to encourage contributions from the nation. ‘The Bottle of Change’ and ‘Eidi for Edhi’ are movements initiated by Coca Cola in collaboration with the benevolent Edhi Foundation.
Late philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi founded this NGO to help the unprivileged. He always believed that there is more to life than just animosity and enmity that perpetuates in our hearts. Continuing with what he left, Pakistani celebrities have promised to carry the torch and be a part of this enlightening campaign. The likes of Ali Sethi, Yonus Khan, Maya Ali and Momina Mustehsan have step forward to ask their fans to become a part of this national drive. The purpose here is purely just to raise money for the poor and get help for the ignored. More than 13 million were collected during the Digithon conducted by Coke on their Facebook page last week. But there is still no stopping to the money that has been just continuously pouring in. So how can you help Legendary Edhi’s cause and support your favorite stars? As the name of the campaigns suggest, you can either contribute by collecting change in Coke’s bottles or Eidi in the form of presents. You can then carry them to the closest Edhi center or the thousands of Telenor Easy Paisa offices spread around the country. You can also transfer money through Telenor Easy Paisa or to Edhi Foundation’s bank account.
