#InkaarKaro is the new #MeToo in town

Women rights and oppression have been a topic of the talks on TV programmes and political speeches for decades. And it all ends on the conclusion that people need to review their life and style.
The issue finally popped out in the entire world in the form of #MeToo and has been one of the biggest trends this year.
Me too in Pakistan became the highest trend when Ali Zafar was accused by Meesha Shafi. And since then we saw many respectable ladies accusing powerful men of oppression or harassment.
Since the success of #MeToo, many movements have begun for the protection of rights of the women and people have been taking it seriously because accusing someone on social media has become as easy as pie. This caused an impact on the life and style of many people who now are aware of the rights of women.
Inkaar Karo is a step ahead of Me Too. This movement was started by Angeline Malik who explained what this movement is about in the following words, “This initiative ‘Inkaar Karo, Hum Tumhare Saath Hain’ says a lot. I have heard many stories and seen a lot due to the nature of my work. It’s hard to say no and it’s even harder to speak up and make people believe you. I have brought together a group of strong women who feel the same as I do and we altogether want to convey the message that we hear you, we believe you and we will support you.”
