KFC Pays Tribute to its Deaf Employees on World Deaf Day
KFC has always come up with amazing ideas and campaigns that promote equal opportunity for everyone. The World Deaf Day is celebrated on September 23rd and this year KFC Pakistan decided to promote the deaf employees that work in the company. Their beautiful message was shared all over Instagram. ‘Brandsynario’ especially praised the company and shared their sweet advertisement with the caption, “Kudos to KFC! With 7 outlets employing deaf staff, they have taken a much-needed step towards equal opportunity. Need more steps by other brands.”
As part of their “Mithao Bhook” platform, which is a part of their corporate social responsibility, KFC pledges to give back to the society. They have been working on this idea for the past several years and have recently joined hands with Deaf Reach, which is a School and Training Centre for deaf people. The Campus is run by KFC and they provide education and training to over 200 students. These students, after completing their education and training, are hired at the different KFC outlets, ensuring a smooth flow of income. Mithao Bhook aims to lift the community from hunger to hope.

Such initiatives by big companies are much needed in our society. There are so many talented people waiting for the right opportunity. KFC gives these people the opportunity to express themselves and helps them earn a decent living. Celebrities and other famous actors of the society must come together to appreciate this initiative and urge other big companies to work on these issues as well.
On this World Deaf Day, let’s vow to support our fellow Pakistanis and support them. As KFC very rightly puts it, “Because smile is their language, through heart they hear you!”
