Pakistan in space? Thanks to Namira Salim for getting us there!

A role model for the many young girls in Pakistan who want to pursue their ambitions and an inspiration for anyone who has ever wanted to do more with their life, Namira Salim is truly a name worthy of appreciation. She is the first Pakistani to visit the North and South Poles and now she is going on another adventure, this time literally out of this world. Yes, Namira is going to visit space!

A young forty year old, Namira has always been adventurous. She knew from a very young age she wanted to travel all over the world and while doing so, leave a positive image of Pakistan everywhere she went. She has been a diplomatic for the past several years and is also the founding member of the Richard Branson Space Travel Company. Her selection to go to space was a tough one after a thousand applications were received. Her application stood out and her enthusiasm was commended by all. Among her other adventures, one of the ones she personally loved was her skydive from the high Mount Everest. She was the first Asian to achieve this status. She has also camped on the massive expanse of ice in the Antarctica. Her experiences sound out of this world to say the least.

Namira plans to make the world a better place by promoting peace everywhere she goes. She knows the importance of living in a place where you can do as you please and be safe. Safety is the foremost element needed to live a full and happy life. Namira has completed her training to travel to space under the supervision of Virgin Galactic. The training included important protocols and immersive experience of what space travel would entail. We wish her the best of luck!
