Pakistan’s very own Robin Hood Army is a force to be reckoned with

Since 2018, the Robin Hood Army in Pakistan is changing the country for the better. It is a volunteer based organization that works to get surplus food from restaurants and the community to serve it to the less fortunate people. The whole operation works much similar to how Robin Hood helped his people. Only that there is no stealing from the rich, rather, the rich willingly give whatever they can to the poor. The local chapters of the organization are run by friends and colleagues, who hope to create a difference in their own unique way. The setup reaches nearly every major city and village in Pakistan.
According to the group, “The “Robins” are largely students and young working professionals – everyone does this in their free time. The lesser fortunate sections of society we serve include homeless families, orphanages, patients from public hospitals, and old age homes.” As of yesterday, there are a total of 2,700 volunteers working actively in the group. It does not matter how big or small the contribution, any help can make a huge difference.
Such initiatives have really helped in uplifting the Pakistani society and making it better. These activities keep the youth busy in doing something good and productive. Such acts should be appreciated by every elder because they go a long way.
