The COVID-19 crisis is one that has caught everyone off guard. No one was expecting to witness a pandemic in this lifetime but alas, it has come. All we can do is to wait it out and hope that we come out better and stronger than before. The nature of this crisis calls for everyone to come together and support each other. In the midst of this chaos, we have Parveen Aunty. A true angel in disguise who is helping all the needy people by providing food. How much does this food cost? Just Rs. 3.
Parveen Aunty is a humble lady who has been running a kitchen in the local bazaar for the past eighteen years. She cooks daily food and sells it to anyone who needs it for just three rupees. She does this all out of goodwill. She is a beautiful soul and one who has gained the respect of thousands of people from all over Pakistan. In this time of crisis, she has been facing issues in buying meat etc. Thanks to the contribution of the local people, she was able to continue her delivery of food and keep her kitchen running.
If you know anyone who is facing food shortage, please refer them to ‘khaana ghar’ – Parveen aunty’s kitchen. Such small acts of kindness will go a long way in averting this crisis and making sure we all survive it. The times to come will only be tougher as the economy will go through a major fall. But if we stick together and do not forget our humanity, we can make it through.
