Celebrities have taken to social media to appreciate their prime minister, Imran Khan, in the historic speech he made at the United Nations General Assembly on September 27, 2019. The day will go down as one of the most memorable for all Pakistanis as their PM put India in its right place. From Ramiz Raja on Twitter to Hamza Ali Abbasi on Instagram, there was not one platform that wasn’t used to applaud the PM.
Sanam Saeed, Mahira Khan, Mehwish Hayat and many more also commended Mr. Khan on speaking the truth and sharing it with the world. Mehwish Hayat said, “Our PM’s address to the UNGA was awe inspiring. So glad that we have a leader who so eloquently put our case to the world. The UN has to take heed & end the oppression in Kashmir. Remember the Pakistani nation are like cornered tigers don’t provoke us! 🇵🇰#ImranKhanVoiceOfKashmir”
Humayun Saeed, Fakhre-Alam, Faysal Qureshi and more male celebrities also joined the trend and supported the PM. Faysal Qureshi boldly stated that no one had ever represented not only Pakistan but 1.3 billion Muslims the way PM Imran Khan did today during his speech at #UNGA2019. A true leader spoke today who has the right to represent Muslim world. May Allah protect him and make him achieve what he is willing for humanity.
In the midst of all the hardships that Pakistan is facing right now, this speech was the beacon of light for the Pakistani public. Social media platforms gave the public a way to get their message across to the world that Pakistanis are united in their cause and they will support Kashmir no matter what. The United Nations will hopefully take a positive action soon and free the people of Kashmir.
