The Citizens Foundation and why perspective is important

At a high end restaurant, a good meal costs about 1000 to 1500 Rupees.
Did you know that that’s enough to fund one childs education?
The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a professionally managed non-profit organization set up in 1995 by a group of citizens who wanted to bring about positive social change through education. 24 years later, TCF is now one of Pakistan’s leading organizations in the field of education for the less privileged.
With around 1500 schools across the country in low-income areas, TCF provides high quality education to children up-till the tenth grade. TCF also puts a great focus into instilling positive social and moral values within its students. It operates through its various donation programs and the one that really caught my attention was this:
By donating 1400 Rupees per month for a year, you or I can fund a child’s entire one year of education.
I’ve had many things put into perspective since I discovered this program – I’ve also taken a long hard look on how I spend and how I value my education. I hope it does the same for you.
If you want to learn about the magnitude of their impact or to contribute to TCF there are multiple ways to go about it. Apart from donation programs they have various volunteering opportunities and their website provides a detailed overview of how you can become a part.
You can visit their website at: TCF
There is truly a chance to change someone’s life here, take it!
