Hi! I’m Ramsha Khuram – a Computer Scientist & Co Founder of Botnostic Solutions.

What is My Career Dreams? How did you start?

My Career Dreams is an initiative that we, at Botnostic Solutions, took with a vision to ensure professional career advisory is made available to students anywhere and anytime. It’s a website that students 8^th grade and above can access for guidance so they can make well informed decisions about their career streams.

What’s the impact so far? What have you learned along the way?

So far we have offered career guidance to thousands of students from over 55 countries over a span of about 6 months. We are involved with various educational institutes and bodies both in the public and private sector. We can proudly say that 94% of the students who visited our website said they would recommend it to their peers, multiple organizations are also using our data analytics to get an insight towards the youth from a unique angle!

It’s been a great learning opportunity for us and we have and will continue to incorporate learning and feedback from our users!

What’s it like being a female entrepreneur in Pakistan?

I believe it’s something that is very well received and I’ve personally been encouraged by anyone and everyone who I’ve met. Being a female entrepreneur also opens up new avenues for me as a co-founder and I believe this is a terrific time for all the females out there in the startup ecosystem of Pakistan.

You’re also from a computer science background and can code, that is rare in Pakistan. Why aren’t more women pursuing this field?

It is rare but trends are changing (hopefully!) I believe that there are certain stereotypes that Pakistani females stick to following which is why certain fields are getting more saturated than others. In my opinion, if there is more awareness about the opportunities that Computer Science offers within the society, this will definitely start becoming a sought after field.

What’s up next for your company?

We continue to explore new opportunities, learn new technologies and grow. Artificially intelligent chatbots and data analytics are our niche but every day is a new day so we continue to learn.

Any advice for people like you looking to start their own companies?

Be realistic. Seek your passion. Have faith in God.

Anything else you’d want people to know?

I’d want the youth to use My Career Dreams and spread the word. It would help their friends and family understand their strengths and select the right career at the right time. More power to the youth!
